20101228 A Birthday

This is the old old story that one may have heard for the 14th time,
For the 3rd time to some
or the 2nd time.
But this shall be told for that one person who has not heard it
and may this be
for him
the first time.

20101227 Christmas

This is inspired by a Christmas card I saw in
No one can imagine the thrill
that these generous bloggers
have contributed to this special occasion.

The most inexpensive decorations,
thanks to Carol for lending me her
fifty percent discount card,
glue gun and offer to spend
an afternoon helping me decorate.
Hubby & son obliged to spending December 24
with me on my one shop shopping spree.
Son & I had the most exciting find.
I got everything my heart desired
in this shop as son helped me carry
the basket around.

CEF trained story tellers, Miss Chang and Miss Chen

I see in them the beauty of each individual
willing to give their best
to make the most
of an art.
The art of story telling.

Thanks to Ruth for coming to the rescue.
Our buffet caterer who has served us
the past 10 years has finally asked
me to find another one.
They can't do it at such a short notice
they are fully booked...
NOEL!

for this book tree.
I have spent several nights working
till my son gets up for his morning class
around 6:30 am.
The snowflake that was made earlier

20101225 A Night Out

A bridge on a lagoon
in a park
at the center of the city.

The other side of the bridge
on a cold night.

A pathway in the park,

                                                                               An artwork,
                                                                    The moon tonight,
                                                                against the blaring light.

                                                                  The couple
                                                                taking a walk,
                                                                taking a photo
                                                               of their shadow;
                                                                an entry for
                                                          Shadow Shot Sunday

                                                                    The tallest building
                                                                          in the city
                                                                   like a lighted candle
as seen from the bridge,
on a lagoon
in the park,
at the center of the city,
on a cold night,
The bridge as reflected
on the lagoon
in the park
at the center of the city
where a couple
took  a walk

                                                                    after a sumptuous meal
                                                                       at a dimsum place,
at the farthest end of the city
                                                                  after a long drive around
in search of a parking space.

A special keepsake for this occasion
that would be my entry for
                                                                   Weekend Reflections

                                                                       The interesting lights,

                                                                         The shops,

                                                                    The place for hot coffee,
                                                                         coke, chat and
                                                                     more reflection shots
                                                                         to choose from.

                                                            MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!
