Thank You

Thank you Father for such a beautiful world.
It is so nice to be led into lives of people,
to see the world from their perspective
be they in words, in pictures, in thoughts.
I can see You in them,
from the things they created...

The Power of Serving Others

I will meditate on Your Words

詩 篇 16:5-6 (Chinese Union Version (Traditional))

"LORD, you have assigned me my portion and my cup; you have made my lot secure. The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; surely I have a delightful inheritance" (Ps 16:5-6).

The Power of Serving Others

My Shadow

Me, after taking photos of the sunset,
enjoying the breeze
waiting for dinner to be served.

Here's my first entry

No Moon (is this right?)

Here's my first entry for Weekend Reflectionshttp://newtowndailyphoto.blogspot.com/

Reflection of a Ferris Wheel
on top of a mall.
The water's calm,
the surrounding's silent.
A hubby & I moment
each time we come.

Saturday Afternoon Sunset

20101127 Saturday Afternoon

Hubby and I spotted this place during our walk around the neighborhood this Saturday afternoon.
Got this shot while I was placing our order for a cup of espresso and mint tea.
The sun was gone before I got back to my seat - notice the purple coat draped on the chair?

Another Wednesday Walk

Here are some more photos I've taken in the Cultural Center Station (07orange line) on one of our Kaohsiung Rapid Transit trips this Wednesday.   We visited three stations today, changing from the Orange line(05) to the Red line(R10) as you can see in this map Kaohsiung Rapid Transit Corporation-Travelers's Services, but I wasn't able to take photos in the Shihjia Station(R7) due to the awkward feeling that besieged when a crowd of people poked me from the trance of being a tourist.   Not at all disappointed though because I was able to get my favorite fresh spring rolls from the 60-year-old shop at the entrance of Formosa Boulevard.   I was also able to visit the old grocery store that made me feel closer to home, when imported canned spam, vienna sausages and mayonnaise were scarce, 22 years ago.   I can write more about this trip next blog.  As of now, enjoy the mosaic art works that were on the floor and walls...

Kaohsiung via MRT

Here's where we had coffee and cake after a quick lunch.
It is easy to conform to hubby's spur-of-the-moment decision to take the mass rapid transit and tour Kaohsiung.  Since it was thirty minutes past noon, we made a concerted effort to start our adventure after
lunch at a familiar place.

This is another shot of the Cafe before we left for Sizihwan to watch the sunset.

Artwork taken inside the Cultural Center Station.

The world's largest public glass art work -- the Dome of Light -- at Kaohsiung Rapid Transit System's Formosa Boulevard Station
The 660m2 dome, created by Italian maestro Narcissus Quagliata, embodies the pursuit for freedom and democracy in the art work

The work displays the spirit of "tolerance" through the incorporation of the elements "water," "earth," "light" and "fire" into the art piece.

Guess what I found at the Liou Ho entrance at the Formosa Boulevard Station.
A shop selling my favorite spring roll delicacy.

I really don't feel comfortable with this height...

 The two tourists,

The sight inside the Sizihwan Station.
I think this homebody has found a nice way to exercise.  Walking and climbing up stairs once or twice a week won't be bad.

To See Yellow In White - Day 5

STEPS
Time to be
time to do
that's all I want
Father, You did grant

I do not know where this is leading to
One thing for sure though,
I'm having so much fun in the process.

A little at a time,
Allotted two hours per week with Miss Fann.
Another lesson in faith and obedience,
bless her Lord, for her patience.

Rewards Of The Simple Life -3

Facing the setting sun,
The moon behind,
A stirring breeze,
the lapping waves.
A tedious rhythm
Oh so soothing.

The sunset,
The sea,
The beacon,
The moon.

Its beauty I cannot paint
Its truth one cannot taint
For if a painting one can peddle
Which one shall I finally settle?

Nothing shall I own and keep
but the pleasing memories
and feelings that run deep.

 James 1:17
Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.

Ecclesiastes 8:15 So I commend the enjoyment of life, because there is nothing better for a person under the sun than to eat and drink and be glad. Then joy will accompany them in their toil all the days of the life God has given them under the sun.
