This is our conversation with 4-year-old Tanya when she started to cough while reading:
Me: Jesus please heal Tanya's cough.
Tanya: Who are you talking to?
Me: Jesus
Tanya: Who is he? (No gender classification
in spoken Mandarin.)
Me: A friend.
Tanya: Where is he?
Me: Here. ( placing my hand on my chest.)
Oh, those children are very observant and come up with the most interesting ideas! I worked with them in Children's Ministry for over 30 years. During that time is when I wrote my Christian children's books. I wrote them to 'explain' to the children about the things of God. They always an explanation and then another explanation!
